Weston Robot has launched its standard R&D kit for autonomous driving research. This versatile kit supports various platforms, including differential drive base, dual ackermann drive, and omni-wheel drive. It comes equipped with 3D lidars, a navigation computer, a power regulator, and other components essential for navigation.

From December 15th to 18th, 2023, Weston Robot hosted an intensive three-day workshop at their Singapore office, focusing on the latest developments in humanoid robots H1 and their industrial robotics dob B2. This event attracted professionals and enthusiasts from various sectors, keen on exploring the advancements in robotics technology. The workshop provided hands-on experiences and in-depth discussions about the capabilities and applications of humanoid robots in industry, highlighting B1's innovative features. This gathering not only showcased Weston Robot's expertise but also fostered a collaborative environment for sharing knowledge and ideas in the rapidly evolving field of robotics.

Over the past few years, I keep asking myself how we can make service robot's up time as close as to 99.x%. Otherwise, it is not practical to deploy large volume of service robots due to the overwhelming deployment and maintenance cost, and poor customer experience. I have seen so many cases where the service robot's down time is more than its up time.

Over the past 10 years, I am so blessed to work with great talent team both at MathWorks (USA), and at Weston Robot (Singapore). With the MathWorks engineering team, we launched Robotics System Toolbox in 2015 to help customers develop their robots. With my engineers at Weston Robot, we provide tools to help customers deploy their robots, remotely control their robots, and perform the robot maintenance. With these toolboxes, I believe the robot development, robot deployment, and after-sales robot control and maintenance will become less complicated, eventually making the robot more affordable for consumers.
